Dear Marion Family,
On October 13th, 2020, the Marion Board of Education approved an early release for the remainder of the semester, possibly longer. The purpose of this release is to allow our staff time to collaborate regarding virtual and face to face learning, hold office hours for virtual students, and navigate the use of new digital curriculum platforms. This will also allow teachers to plan and adjust lessons as needed in face to face instruction to meet the limitations of teaching during Covid-19. The goal is to continue to improve our virtual and face to face instruction.
This early release will be every Wednesday, starting October 28th, 2020. The students of Marion Public Schools will be released at 11:20 am (high school) and 11:30 am (elementary). Lunch will be served on these days.
Thank you for your cooperation during this time. We realize this will be a shared sacrifice for families as arrangements may need to be made for transportation, child care, and family schedules. Please know that we appreciate your patience and support as we continue to strive to educate our Marion Eagles. We are all in this together.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Danyel Prielipp
Interim Superintendent
Marion Public Schools
